YSR got his time

Y.S.RajaSekhara Reddy has ordered to collect the entire temple that belongs to ISKCON, Secunderabad.

Congress Party is secular. They will not take even one inch land of Wakf boards or Churches. That's why they are very secular. If they take the land of Hindu temples, it is for the development of the state/country, and one should not see it from the perspective of religion.

Only those who are religious oppose collecting temple land. We have to avoid those religious people by all means. Because, they may cause communal violence in the state/country unnecessarily.

Update: Bhajarang Dal, Viswa Hindu Parishat, and BJP had done a dharna, and Government has revoked the decision to capture the temple for road-widening. In this Dharna, BJP's state president Bandaru Dattatreya also participated.

Rented House

Hero goes to a house owner, and asks him for a rented house. The owner denies to give him house on the basis that he is a 'bachelor'.

Hero says, "When you don't believe a bachelor to give your house, why do you believe a bachelor to marry your daughter? Why not marry her to a man who is already married and has some children?"

India has got 1 gold and 2 bronze medals in Olympics - 2008 with 50th rank. It got 51st rank by the no.of medals. swivel has come up with the rank based on GDP and Population. Instead of saying who got maximum no.of medals etc., it calculated rank based on no.of medals per million population, and medals per billion dollar GDP.

In appraisal meeting they will speak only about your weakness, errors and failures.
In resignation meeting they will speak only about your strengths, past achievements and success.


In appraisal you may need to cry and beg for even 10% hike.
In resignation you can easily demand (or get even without asking) more than 50-60% hike.


During appraisal, they will deny promotion saying you didn't meet the expectation, you don't have leadership qualities, and you had several drawbacks in our objective/goal.

During resignation, they will say you are the core member of team; you are the vision of the company how can you go, you have to take the project in shoulder and lead your juniors to success.


There is 90% chance for not getting any significant incentives after appraisal.
There is 90% chance of getting immediate hike after you put the resignation.

So If you want an appraisal submit your resignation immediately!

BSNL and Indian Postal Service

I applied for BSNL broadband internet connection in June. While entering the data, the data entry operator did not enter correct communication address. When I asked to correct it, she told me that, system cannot allow to change the address once entered. She told me that, I can give address change request only after generating the first bill. i.e., I can give only after July 10th. I went to BSNL office after july 10th, and gave the request for address change. Next month, I did not receive the bill. I went to office again and told them that, I have not received the bill. I expected reply like, we will send a duplicate bill or Let me check the address. But, the reply was, Ask your postman. I again checked my address, and removed few extra spaces in the company name, and gave a new request to change the address again. I waited for two months. But, I did not get bill. I stopped bothering about the bill. Today, I received a bill from BSNL. I was very happy that, at last I started getting bills from BSNL. After that, I saw the issue date, and it was 7-Aug-2008.

I don't know when will our government offices change.

No Smoking in Public and Private places

Anbumani Ramadoss brought a new policy from Oct 2nd, 2008, that nobody should smoke in public and private places. Those who want to smoke, has to smoke at their house or on roads. Nobody is allowed to even smoke in their offices.

Ramadoss is notorious for bringing policies which appear as good, but actually very bad.

My personal experience is, in the last couple of years, I was never worried about passive smoking. I was almost never effected by passive smoking. But, in the last one month, I was more effected by passive smoking.

Till Oct 1st, My company and other companies in the surrounding area used to provide smoking areas in the office. Most of the time, Non-smokers never bother about going to that side. So, almost nobody effected by passive smoking.

With the new rule, all the companies removed the smoking areas, and mentioned that, entire office is no-smoking area. Those whoever wants to smoke, they have to go out and smoke on the road. Everyday, I walk from auto stand to my office gate in the morning, and from office gate to auto stand in the evening. While walking, I see many people who smoke on the road, and I am effected by passive smoking because of that. Previously, all of them used to smoke in the smoking area in their respective companies. Because of this stupid rule, they are smoking on the roads, and the pedestrians are effected by that.

The smoking is not allowed in small hotels. In big restaurants, it is allowed only if the restaurant provides a special smoking area. But, many small restaurants do not follow any rules. So, they allow smoking. For the last one month, smoking in small restaurants has increased, because, there are restrictions in all the companies, and in many private places. So, smokers are smoking in the small hotels. Because of this also, I am more effected by passive smoking.

At the end, people like me are more effected by this stupid rule.

If they want to change smokers, then they should do it in such a way that, non-smokers are not effected at all. I seriously doubt, whether Ramadoss can ever imagine/come up/approve one good idea/policy/rule in his life.

Telugu gets Classical Language Status

Yesterday (One day before the formation day of Andhra Pradesh), Telugu got Classical Language Status. The same day, Kannada also got Classical Language status. Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, and Tamil already got Classical Language status.

Initially, to get the Classical Language status, the language should be of atleast 1000 years. But, after giving classical status to Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, and Tamil, the time period is increased to 2000 years. After trying for almost 3 years, Telugu and Kannada got classical status.

Telugu was mentioned first time in 500 B.C., in Aithareya Brahmanam, which was around 2500 years back. At the time of British rule, on one rupee coin, it is mentioned in English and Telugu only. Indian National Congress thought of making Telugu as National Language. Freedom fighters like Dr.Pattabi Sitaramayya tried hard for that. But, later congress selected Hindi as the National Language.

After Hindi, Telugu is the most spoken language in India. Telugu is spoken by more than 15 crore people. Around 8 crore people in Andhra Pradesh, and 2.8 crore in Tamilnadu speak Telugu.
