WordWeb has very interesting license.
WordWeb free version may be used indefinitely only by people who take at most two commercial flights (not more than one return flight) in any 12 month period. People who fly more than this need to purchase the Pro version if they wish to continue use it after a 30-day trial period.
This is the first time for me to see a license that differs based on the wealth of the user.

i have been using WordWeb for 4-5 years now, but never read this line.. really interesting
ReplyDeleteThis license applies to WordWeb 5 and above. Previous versions have "free for personal use" license. That is the reason why you (as well as myself) have not seen this license before.
ReplyDeleteIts funny, Satish! :)
ReplyDeleteI do not think it is based on the wealth of the user.
ReplyDeleteRead the license here, it does not mention the wealth basis here: http://wordweb.info/free/licence.html
It says:
The licence is designed to provide a small incentive for people with massively unsustainable emissions to cut down.
I think its a superb idea to promote environment friendliness through such an effort.
Thanks for posting the license here
The terms of this free license are as absurd as a flying carpet. Maybe groovin' high within the clouds and closer to the sun but, still, absurd! I admit I meant nuts :)
