Middle click in Firefox

How many times you missed middle click on a link in firefox? When you middle click in firefox, the page goes to auto scroll mode, and it is very frustrating.

To disable this, goto Tools -> Options -> Advanced, and uncheck "use autoscrolling". It will disable autoscrolling.

English is split into two (English and English(UK)). All the communities that do not specify any language is categorized as "All". If we merge English, and remove All, then telugu would be in 7th position.

My Country My Life by L.K.Advani

I have bought My Country My Life by L.K.Advani from indiaplaza.in. I have not read any biography in the last 12 years except of Lord Krishna, and Prabhupada. This is the first time for me to buy a book in 15 days after release. Let's see whether I will read this or not.

Bug in Notepad

1. Open Notepad
2. Type in this sentence exactly (without quotes): "this app can break"
3. Save the file to your hard drive.
4. Close Notepad
5. Open the saved file in notepad.

Instead of seeing your sentence, you will see a series of squares.

Great Writer

Once upon a time there was a young man who wanted to become a great writer.
"I want to write things the whole world will read," he declared.
"Stuff that will elicit strong emotions from people in every walk of life. I want my writing to make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger."



He now lives happily ever after in Redmond, writing error messages for Microsoft.



I am also doing the same. ;) With a difference that, I am not in Redmond, and the whole world will not read my writings.

Communicator Alerts

If anyone used Gaim (or pidgin) extensively, and if they start using Microsoft Communicator, then they would disappoint very much. It is because of the lack of control of the communicator. With communicator, you cannot get many kinds of alerts, say the user's status changes to Away or busy. You can get only alerts when the user is available or goes offline.

Microsoft provides the SDK for communicator, by which you can develop your own communicator. It is very easy to use the SDK. I have developed a small software by which I can receive the alerts for the people I want. This is not a replacement of communicator. This just gives the alerts of the contacts.

Update: This is outdated now. Pidgin has a plugin SIPE by which one can replace office communicator. With that, we can get all kinds of alerts, logging and everything.
